I think one of my greatest lessons this year has been that trust is the key to everything.
Just a few days ago I found myself in a totally new place, in a new job, surrounded by strangers. Christmas was coming up and I had no idea who I was going to spend it with. So I prayed, trusted and then let it go. A few days later while sitting on the beach in my new home base of Coles Bay, Tasmania I was invited to join a family Christmas celebration.
So I went.
It was a perfect day spent around people who love each other deeply. Seeing a family with strong values in the times of heartache, divorce, loss of morals was so uplifting and inspiring. Then I set off on a three hour drive home with two ocean blue eyes looking into mine. Singing in the car, watching the blanket of clouds above our heads, sharing life stories. Feeling the rhythm of unspoken unity.
I ask, believe and receive. But the road does get bumpy sometimes. I learn to appreciate it.
All of you know how many times this year I’ve found myself without a home, a job, a plan. Felt lonely, free, guilty, lost, confused, loved, hurt, confident, cheerful.
Through it all I TRUSTED and believed that we are taken on a crazy ride for a reason. Experiencing the contrast of life helps us grow and cultivate wisdom. And coming out to the bright side brings us understanding of our incredible power to heal. You need darkness as much as you need light. But if you focus on the hurt, you will continue to suffer. And if you focus on the lesson, you will continue to grow.
So things ALWAYS work out for me as long as I remember that I need to trust my life and its timing. I am in the right place at the right time and doing the right thing. I am loving my exposure to this life and what it provides for me. I don’t try to take the role of God, and don’t try to control others.
I am reminded pretty much every day that nothing will ever be perfect. Because there isn’t really a destination. It’s all about the JOURNEY.
Eventually everything just falls into place, the puzzle pieces start coming together.
I just need to breathe, relax. and trust. Because I have access to powers that create worlds and you do as well.
Thank you for joining me on this crazy adventure called life and thanks for being my light in times of darkness. I love you all and hope to see us grow stronger in the upcoming 2018.
